Late C18th Italian coromandel and ivory inlaid table cabinet.

Interesting table cabinet with an arrangement of decoratively inlaid Milanese style ivory and bone drawers around a central 'tabernacle' type portico door with capped architectural columns ,which opens on decorative strap-work hinges .
The interior of the central compartment with an interior fitted with 2 small drawers with ivory knobs . The top left drawer opening with the central reserve to create a longer document drawer. The drawers and frame all divided and decorated with ebonised 'ripple' mouldings. The drawers and door door all fitted with spring-loaded steel locks with the single key operating all .

The exterior inlaid with pewter/white-metal stringing dividing the segments of figured coromandel veneers, composing an attractive 'brick-like' design.

Good quality thinly-made hardwood drawer linings , the reverse with a plain unpolished flush-boarded back . Raised on small compressed bun feet .

Highly decorative table cabinet in excellent original condition .

C19th George I revival walnut double corner cabinet with ovoid and diamond interlaced glazing . Faithful copy of an important early C18th style walnut 2-part 4-door corner display cabinet. Authentic period-style rounded 'barrel-back' construction with 2 double-door sections. The interior with shaped ,fixed shelves, has been refreshed to imitate the original traditional 'apple-green' painted finish of the period. Fine cross-grain moulded glazing bars and excellent quality period-style brass decorative pierced and engraved 'butterfly' hinges ,lock escutcheons and interior bolts to the doors. Simple moulded cavetto cornice and standing on shaped plinth base. Figured walnut throughout of excellent warm ,rich colour , with recessed burr walnut panels to the sides.

In excellent condition , cleaned and waxed ,ready to use.
Complete with locks and keys.
(Splits into 2 sections for ease of transportation and movement)

Shaped and moulded original white marble top above an ormolu-mounted frieze, fitted with 2 ormolu-trimmed shelves with original velvet interior. Rounded section twin-pilaster column front ,single central glazed-panel door with lock and key. Constructed using the finest quality selected veneers and materials , designed in the French Louis XVI style , probably made by Gillows of Lancaster. In completely original condition , cleaned and waxed in our workshops, ready to use.

A good quality fitted side cabinet of rare form . Purchased from a local 'time capsule' period property where it had stood in the "Butler's Pantry" , a small annex room between the main dining room and the kitchen . Traditionally used by a butler as a serving/preparation area prior to serving wine etc in the dining room .

The cabinet having a most unusual drawer format , 2 short 'cock-beaded' drawers both above and below the panelled cupboard doors .
The interior fitted with 2 removable and adjustable sliding cutlery or silver trays , with 'ladder-racking' sides. Each slide fitted with a recessed brass ring handle .
The 2 sets of drawers each fitted with original turned knob handles .

The upper section with a shelf and three-quarter galleried back , formed from the solid mahogany sides. The whole raised on 4 original elegant turned feet . The door fitted with original working lock and key , the key-hole fitted with a shield-shaped bone escutcheon.

A rare and highly practical piece of dining room or reception room furniture with good storage and functionality.

Excellent original condition , rich colour and patination . The top with minor marks commensurate with age , wear and purpose .

Late C19th octagonal satinwood bijouterie/display table. Diminutive bijouterie table veneered in exotic and expensive West Indian satinwood ,with glazed and hinged top , raised on square section tapering legs with brass ball feet. The legs joined by a decorative shaped stretcher. The interior lined with old scarlet silk damask . Fitted with a brass lock and shaped ivory key escutcheon.

Would be perfect to display a small collection of silver, jewellery or 'objets de virtu'.

Superbly-made mahogany beside cupboard fitted with a drawer and panelled door cupboard enclosing a shelf , each with original stylish brass fittings .

Constructed from high grade well-figured 'plum pudding' mahogany with a rich colour and patina. The top fitted with a shaped three-quarter gallery , a carved decorative band beneath . Standing on a base of ogee moulded section with shaped feet.

Though key is missing , the quality of the cabinet is emphasised by being fitted with a lock by the prestigious Hobbs & Co. London.

In excellent original condition, minor ring-mark to top .

Wonderfully original 2-door side cabinet fitted with original mirror plates to the door panels enclosing an ebonised interior fitted with 2 adjustable shelves on 'saw-tooth' ladder-racking uprights.

Finely carved and detailed columnar uprights with leaf-carved capitals to the corners , supporting brass inlaid square tablets , the frieze fitted brass line inlay with a central break-front rectangular tablet featuring a panel of fine brass boulle-type brass inlay .

Fine detail throughout with carved 'split-reel' mouldings and conforming returns . Raised on carved fluted tapering 'melon' feet .

The top fitted with its original creamy-white marble top with gently rounded edges.

Bears all the attributes , style and quality of the esteemed and prized cabinet-makers "Gillows of Lancaster and London ", though not stamped .

All original patina and colour with no losses or damage .

Retains original key .

Stunning quality cabinet with large "Sevres"-style porcelain plaque to centre door with heavily-cast ribbon ormolu surround , depicting romantic lovers in a rural idyll. Best quality veneers and ormolu mounts , flanked with string-inlaid free-standing columns with cast-ormolu Corinthian-capital tops .Bow-ended glass doors with string-inlaid shelves and velvet-lined interior to centre. The break-front top veneered in figured and burr walnut, the edge with cast ormolu beading. Inlaid box-wood marquetry designs to friezes ,and banding to panelled centre door .Wonderful colour and patina with good 'skirting-board' overhang to back ,and overall a cabinet of impressive and substantial proportions and a grade, quality and scale, well above the norm . Late C19th/early C20th Edwardian period decorated satinwood display cabinet or vitrine in the Adam revival style. Good quality painted neo-classical style decoration to well-figured satinwood cabinet . Serpentine front door and sides ,raised on tapering square section supports with 'spade' feet. Cross-banded throughout and mounted with a carved and painted detail classically-inspired pediment. The decoration featuring floral swags , trailing husks and sun-flower oval paterae.
The interior fitted with shaped shelves , and covered in the apparently original , clean material lining. Original brass fittings , lock and key.

Excellent colour and condition , with minor shrinkage cracks to the top bar of the shaped ends. The painted decoration in excellent condition , retaining its original colours.

A smart cabinet in which to house a collection of fine porcelain , silver or 'objets de virtu'.
