C19th William IV period mahogany framed double scroll-end settee in 'as found' Country-House condition.

Well-carved mahogany classically-inspired design settee , bought from a local 'time capsule ' property and in need of refurbishment and reupholstering. Good solid frame which has original rich patina and colour . Raised on original cast-brass castors on turned and carved feet. The well-detailed scroll arms of lyre form , the centre of the shaped dip-back top-rail with a carved scroll surmount .

Supplied with 2 original roll bolster cushions for the ends (not shown in photos) .

Sold as seen , for refurbishment and reupholstery project.

C19th Regency period mahogany double scroll-end settee. Crisply carved ,rich mahogany frame of compact proportions on sabre legs with original brass castors with wooden wheels. Stylish classically-referenced design with paterae and tablets on back and frieze, lyre ends and carved detail.
Cleaned, waxed and re-upholstered in our own work-shops in taupe silk.
Deep-buttoned loose double-sided squab cushion and heavily pleated bolster cushions, all with double-piped edges.

C19th William IV period rosewood-framed day-bed / chaise-longue in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster. Top quality rosewood frame with classically-inspired anthemion and lotus leaf-wrapped motif carved detail and decoration with dramatic exaggerated scroll-end. Stands on carved and shaped supports with concealed original brass castors. Newly re-upholstered in the traditional manner in our workshops. Completely free-standing and symmetrical with a D-shaped end. Double-sided loose cushion with horse-hair filling and cord detail edge, and loose roll cushion to end. Well-chosen figured timber of good colour, original polish surface , cleaned and waxed.

Early C19th Regency period scroll-end day-bed .
Early C19th Regency period scroll-end day-bed . Classically-inspired Grecian design day-bed of exaggerated asymmetrical scroll-ended form. Free-standing ,double-sided design, finished in original creamy/off-white painted decoration (some old refreshment) with parcel-gilt highlights. The oblong reserves above the legs with original gilded cast-lead decorative floriate mounts . Raised on sabre-legs fitted with original well-defined cast-brass claw castors.
Taking its inspiration from Greek antiquity and popularised by the neo-classical designs of the likes of Thomas Hope ,George Smith, and drawings from Ackermans 'Repository of Arts'.
A rare survivor retaining its original calico base covering. In good original 'country house' condition.
