C18th George III period mahogany long-case clock by 'RICHARD MASON .St Albans'.

Fitted classically-engraved silvered arch dial with Roman numeral hour markings ,Arabic minute and date markers .Fitted with blued steel hands , five-pillar ,8-day duration, hour-striking movement on bell together with brass date-hand . Intricate pierced fret-work sides to hood .Great colour ,stunning quality timber ,and with original patina.

Fully-serviced movement ,excellent time-keeping . Replaced quality brass finials standing on reeded blocks to top of hood. Prophetically inscribed to dial "THE MOMENT PAST LAYD MANY FAST ". London type top quality case with brass stop-flutes to quarter columns on trunk and to columns on hood with brass caps. Flame-veneered long door to trunk with arch top. The base of case with moulded applied decoration, the whole raised on a double plinth base. (Keys to hood,case and movement)

Monumental scale C19th Victorian period oak-cased wall-clock.
Monumental scale C19th Victorian period oak-cased wall-clock .Original painted Roman numeral white enamel dial with black steel hands ,brass bezel to glazed, hinged door and carved oak-leaf and acorn decoration to sides. Bearing the name of its maker William Manning ,Worcester, the clock is fitted with an hour-chiming weight-driven regulator dead-beat escapment with power maintainence. Stunning golden patina , with moulded sectional surround to clock-head, shaped tapering bottom case and arch panel door. Of visually stunning proportions and size, with great presence and of historical importance. "Clock-makers & Watch-makers of Central England" by Joseph McKenna , records William Manning at 96, High St., Worcester in 1830. By 1851 trading at 20, The Cross, and by 1864 trading as Manning and Manning, thence Manning & Co., from 1878-80. Probably made originally for public or institutional use , but could be considered as the ultimate in kitchen ,barn or loft-space clock features. Complete with original lead weights, brass-cased pendulum and winding key. In working order.

Late C19th /early C20th French Empire-style siena marble 4-glass mantel clock of architectural Portico design . Superb quality Convent Siena or Brocatello Siena marble cased '4-glass' clock fitted with 8-day striking movement. (Strikes on the hour and half-hour)

The case decorated with neo-classically-inspired ormolu bronze mounts, the corners with 4 darkly-patinated reeded bronze columns with polished caps and bases. The white enamel dial with Roman numerals , quarter 'Arab' markers with high-quality 'engine-turned' centre and engraved surround .

The gilded bronze pendulum featuring a Bacchus mask .The gilded brass interior and high-polished movement in exceptional condition . The steel coiled gong having been 'blued' , the loop 'Breguet' style hands also of 'blued' steel .

The case raised on turned gilded compressed bun feet.
Opening hinged glass doors to front and rear.

A superior quality time-piece of highly decorative design and of arresting colour and scale.

In full-working order. The movement will be fully-serviced and checked prior to delivery.

Decorative carved giltwood case fitted with a French clock movement. The silvered dial with an aged patina, marked with Roman numeral markings , outer minute ring and fitted with black steel hands. . The clock dial with carved wreath and beaded detail surround . The hinged door at the front fitted with a convex glass . The back with gilded brass hinged door with decorative piercing .

Minor chips to gilding but no breaks or losses.

Currently not in working order , can be serviced prior to purchase. Has key .

Fine quality late C19th French ormolu-mounted 3-piece 'bleu turquin' marble clock garniture.
Fine quality late C19th French ormolu-mounted 3-piece 'blue turquin' marble clock garniture.

Crisply-cast ormolu bronze mounted clock set in the C18th Louis XVI style . The bodies of both the clock and 3-branch side pieces with striking grey 'blue turquin' marble bodies. The clock fitted with an 8-day striking movement with pendulum, chiming on a bell , the enamel dial with finely-painted blue Roman numerals and minute chapter ring ,elaborate pierced and gilded hands and set behind an opening domed/convex glass door . Fitted opening glass door to rear, the movement signed "Mognetti". Strikes on the hour and half-hour .

The clock surmounted by an ormolu mounted urn , whilst the body is decorated with swags, rams head , ribbon and floral decorations. The clock raised on detailed ormolu compressed bun feet.

The 3-branch candelabra side-pieces of cassolette form with fine ormolu mounted detail . The bodies raised on stiff-leaf wrapped tripod supports with cloven feet, leaf and acorn motif decoration , the central finial modelled as a basket of floral decorated fruit with a pineapple centre. The marble bodies with a band of cast 'Vitruvian scroll' hand-chased ormolu . The 3-branch candle-arms each with detailed cast candle knozzles and removable bobeches . Both raised on cast ormolu feet of compressed form .

Highly decorative clock set in excellent condition and working order. Brightly gilded ormolu bronze contrasting beautifully against the well-selected blue-grey marble.

Early C19th French Charles X period siena marble and patinated bronze clock garniture . Stylish Empire-style 3-piece clock-set with unusual attractive dark-green patinated bronze mounts contrasting with the distinctive figured yellow ' Marmo Giallo' clock-case and plinth bases of the campana shaped tazza side-pieces. The pair of tazzas with gilded ormolu wrythen handles ,gadrooned shallow bowls and fluted socles raised on stepped bronze-mounted plinths. The clock with heavily-cast 'acanthus leaf' base and classical design scroll feet , the case surmounted by an oval gadrooned urn with conforming ormolu handles.
Fitted with a silk-suspension 8-day striking movement which will be overhauled and serviced prior to sale.
The plain patinated circular bronze dial fitted with original blued steel loop-hands , and an opening glass door.

Minor chips to marble plinth bases of tazzas, but overall in excellent condition with wear commensurate with age and use.
