Early C19th Regency period mahogany framed cheval-base �Pysche� dressing or robing mirror.
The turned mahogany stand of simulated or faux bamboo design with turned classical urn finial surmounts, raised on swept sabre-leg supports with original brass square box-toe castors . The base joined by double turned stretchers , providing strength and stability.
The rectangular framed mirror secured with the original decorative cast gilded-brass round screw-in fittings and turned wooden �washers� to hold and adjust the angle .
In original �as found� country-house condition with some minor degradation to the polished surface and some atmospheric foxing and spotting to the original mercury-silvered mirror plate .
No breaks , damage or repairs.
A stylish robing mirror or �Psyche� , of practical scale and proportions, restrained and elegant Regency period design.
