Late C18th / early C19th Italian rococo style carved gilt-wood framed mirror.
Impressive larger scale carved gilt-wood framed mirror with an atmospheric distressed and degraded plate . The carved wood surround with rose or flower-head details and elaborate and flamboyant rococo carving . The top of the frame with a smaller shaped mirror plate in the cresting .
The gilding having achieved an aged patina and surface . The inner edge of the mirror frame surround having a subtly contrasting creamy-white painted decorative finish .
The verso with original pine backboards , one minor replacement .
In excellent condition with no losses or repairs.
A highly decorative and flamboyant carved frame mirror of good scale and proportions.
