Description

Set of 6 early C19th William IV period carved rosewood dining chairs .
Fine quality set of figured rosewood framed dining chairs with ‘kidney’ shaped backs with carved and shaped lumbar bars. The front seat rails with moulded detail. The backs of ergonomically-shaped concave form , providing both comfort and support for the diner.
Raised on carved and turned ‘lotus’ style forelegs onto peg feet , fitted with drop-in seats at present covered with a serviceable corded golden yellow fabric .
All chairs in excellent original condition with no damage , breaks or repairs. Retain their original polished finish and having achieved a rich colour and patina.
