Charming early C20th lead fountain or water feature modelled as a cherub seated on a shell .
Romantic lead garden or orangery fountain modelled with a contemplative cherub or putto sat on a draped seat mounted onto a shallow-bowl conch-shell base .
The cherub depicted with in a pensive , coy pose , his legs crossed with his foot dangling in the water which plays from a spout set into the ribbed dished shell modelled base . The whole raised on a circular foot .
In excellent original condition with a mellow aged and weathered patina . The underside with a short pipe for the water source connection.
