Late C19th/ early C20th Italian polychrome paint and gilt decorated C18th style Venetian commode .
Floral polychrome decorated bombe and serpentine shaped commode with gilt highlights . Raised on shaped cabriole-type supports, fitted with a single frieze drawer above 2 hinged cupboard doors. Locking cupboard doors with original lock , key , bolt and hinges .
The interior lined with C18th style patterned paper . Fitted with aged metal ware and locks . Panelled back-boards to verso.
Atmospherically aged patina and surface , imitating an important early C18th Venetian commode .
Highly decorative commode of smaller scale and proportions, to add glamour and sophistication to an interior scheme.
