Early C19th Regency period mahogany sideboard.
Serpentine-fronted figured mahogany sideboard of practical scale and proportions, raised on reeded supports with shaped bulbous feet. The arrangement of short and long drawers together with a divisioned baize-lined deep cellarette or bottle drawer . All with ebony edge banding, and fitted with original gilt brass lion-mask ring handles.
The shapely front with arched ‘kneehole’ centre having reeded uprights extending to the corresponding legs .
Excellent rich colour and patina.
Bought by the previous owners some 20 years ago from a leading firm of antiques dealers at a prestigious London antiques fair , where it was exhibited in its present cleaned and conserved state .
