Fine quality C19th French miniature walnut serpentine commode with rococo ormolu handles and mounts .
Figured walnut and kingwood cross-banded miniature 3-drawer commode of C18th Louis XV period style . Cast ormolu rococo design handles and escutcheons, with decorative ormolu mounts to the shaped canted corner stile uprights . The whole raised on shaped bracket feet.
The top and drawers with cross-banded decoration, the edge of the overhanging top with end cross-grain mouldings in the traditional manner . Panelled back to reverse .
The dove-tail construction drawers fitted with locks , no key .
In excellent original condition with a rich colour and patina.
Would make an excellent table-top jewellery chest .
