C19th Naval teak fire-bucket with armorial crest , leather-covered rope handle and copper ring banding.
Interesting staved sectional teak Naval fire-bucket probably for sand , with a Royal cypher transfer and stitched leather-covered hemp rope-twist loop handle . The tapering body with 2 substantial coopered copper bands and substantial brass fittings for the handle secured in place by knotted ends .
Now fitted with a removable tin or zinc liner .
Highly decorative bucket providing both conversational merit and historical interest ,for use perhaps as a waste-paper receptacle or plant holder .
In excellent original condition with no damage, losses or repairs.
