Pair of early C19th French Charles X period mahogany-framed salon armchairs.
Stylish pair of Empire-design carved mahogany armchairs of practical scale and elegant proportions . Raised on shaped cabriole-type forelegs with scroll carved detail . The uprights and arms with well-executed carved detail and scrolls .
A superior grade of dense mahogany which has achieved a good rich colour and patina.
In excellent original, have been cleaned and waxed in our workshops . No breaks, damage or repairs.
Reupholstered in a good quality Empire-style striped fabric with ‘double-piped’ trimmed edge detailing .
