Unusual late C19th carved Italian marble desk-top paperweight of a horse�s hoof and shoe.
Realistically carved �Sicilian jasper� marble life-sized horse-hoof , depicted fitted with a detailed black marble shoe and nails .
Wonderfully-figured polished marble with bold striations and colour. Very minor historic chips to back edge.
Highly decorative object of rare form and equestrian interest.
