Interesting C19th William IV period bronze desk-top candle-lamp modelled as a miniature hanging lantern or lamp .
Hexagonal-sided tapering body glazed pane bronze hanging lantern with ventilated and pierced removable top to allow a candle or pastille block to be lit inside. Suspended on chain-link hangers to fit to the decorative scrolled arm bronze lamp-base . The shaft of the lamp standard of tapering and reeded form . The base of the stand cast with a stable weighted hexagonal facetted base with cast anthemion details .
A stylish and highly unusual desk-top accessory of rare form .
Good consistent patination and in excellent original condition.
