Early C19th Regency period X-frame mahogany dressing stool / ottoman of unusual form .
Regency box or ottoman stool with lift-up hinged lid raised on an x-frame cross-over base with scrolled upturned terminals, joined by twin stretcher supports . The seat with a moulded edge surround and shaped lined box below upholstered in old burgundy coloured velvet , in serviceable condition.
The mahogany double-ended x-frame in good solid condition with no breaks , damage or repairs .
A substantial stool of generous proportions with practical storage .
