Description

Superior quality early C19th William IV period mahogany 3-tier buffet.
Well-chosen figured mahogany forming 3 platforms or tiers . The uprights of gently tapering reeded design, surmounted with carved 'melon' cap terminals. The raised edges forming a three-quarter gallery surround , the leading edges of the tiers with a subtle thumb-moulding .
Raised on turned feet fitted with original lacquered brass socket castors and wheels.
Finest quality throughout with a rich original patina and finish to the high-grade mahogany .
Some marks and historic stains to surfaces commensurate with age, use and purpose. No splits , cracks or repairs to the tier panels .
