Description

Mid C19th Anglo-Indian carved padauk or rosewood dwarf bookcase or side cabinet.
Well-carved Anglo-Indian 2-door cabinet with intricate carved and pierced floral and scroll panels , raised on 4 compressed bun feet with carved detail. High quality carved details throughout with gadrooned and fluted edges and reeded borders , the whole having achieved an exceptional colour and patina to the well-chosen figured timber. The ends with channel carved borders .
The interior fitted with a single adjustable shelf .
An interesting colonially-made decorative side cabinet of practical proportions, which would add an exotic accent to a period interior.
