Pair of C19th Italian specimen marble obelisks.
Smart pair of specimen marble obelisks of good scale . Raised on rouge griotte bases with polished limestone blocks and yellow siena marble mouldings , the tapering shafts composed of multiple coloured marble speciman layers (including verde, verde antico, giallo, rouge , carrara , nero and brocatelle) .
In good original condition with only minor 'fritting' to the edges of the shafts , and minor historic chips to the edges of the mouldings. The underside of the bases with nicely-worked chiselling.
