Late C19th Chinese Qing Dynasty carved hardwood 'kang' table of practical proportions.
Useful scale square carved 'huali' hardwood free-standing centre table of low height . Well-figured rich coloured timber with a dark patination. The 2-piece 'floating' panel top with cleated edges , with minor shrinkage gap to centre and historic marks and stains commensurate with age, use and construction.
The shaped friezes each carved with 'key' pattern and archaic-type vessels and vases , the plain square section legs with carved corner brackets.
Decorative Chinese table to provide a coffee/magazine table option for a period room setting.
