Early C19th Regency period over-sized rosewood Canterbury of restrained design.
Good quality larger scale 'Country-house' rosewood Canterbury ,or magazine/paper rack , of uncomplicated classical form . Slatted design with 4 divisions and with a shaped integral carrying handle . Fitted with a mahogany-lined drawer which retains the original cast gilt-brass knob handles .
Raised on short turned feet ,fitted with original lacquered brass castors.
The well-figured rosewood with original rich colour and patina.
In good original condition .
