Description

Early C19th Regency period mahogany 'Country-House' clothes, towel or garment rail of unusually large scale.
Over-sized mahogany bedroom rail with unusual base shelf for storing boots or foot-wear. Turned frame with finial terminals to the uprights. The ends raised on carved splayed supports.
In good original condition with a pleasing faded mellow patina . Some marks and stains to the polish commensurate with age ,use and purpose.
A useful addition to a dressing-room or bedroom to provide hanging and storage.
