Pair of mid-C19th French bronze lions on original black marble plinth bases.
Smart pair of companion bronze lion sculptures mounted upon their original 'Belgo Nero' marble bases . Each lion in an individual imperious and vigilant pose , sculpted to portray and convey the majesty and power of the beasts.
In excellent original condition, minor chips to edges of marble bases , commensurate with age and use .
The bronze of a consistent dark patination with minor high-points from handling .
