Description

C19th William IV period rosewood chiffonier/ sideboard .
Practical size rosewood 2-door chiffonier with 2-tier panelled shelf back with elegant carved scroll supports . The 2 door panelled door base fitted with shelves and offering good storage . The base fitted with flat pilaster decoration to the sides with carved stylised capitals . The corners of the doors with carved paterae detail .
The frieze fitted with 2 flush-fitting drawers below an architecturally-inspired moulding , the corners with subtle carved leaf detail. The top rail with a well-carved central carved foliate detail ,and three-quarter gallery .
Well-figured richly coloured rosewood retaining its original polish and patina.
Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
