Early C20th charcoal and pencil study of a bust of Julius Caesar in oak frame of 'Grand Tour' interest.
Well-executed study of the Roman Emperor depicted in his middle age taken from a carved marble bust .
Signed and dated in ink to lower right corner."E.J.Simpkin 1911".
Mounted in it's contemporary cavetto-moulded section frame.
Some minor "foxing" and staining from damp.
