Fine larger scale C19th Austro-Hungarian gilt-bronze framed agate casket. Well-chosen agate panels of exceptional colour and quality . The 3-panel front with decorative shaped lock-plate ,with original functioning lock and key. Standing upon corner-mounted agate ball feet. The gilt frame with finely-chased decoration , the lid-edge with raised 'finger-plate' for ease of opening. The inset top panel with bevelled edges.
Historic repaired cracks to the base panel.
A smart and luxurious 'objet de vertu' crafted from exotic hardstone and gilded bronze.
