Early C19th Regency period rosewood open 'dwarf' bookcase.
Smart double-size rosewood bookcase fitted with 2 adjustable shelves mounted on 'sawtooth' ladder-racking . The top fitted with 3/4 gallery , whilst all edges and shelves have split-reel 'knulled' mouldings. Raised upon acanthus-leaf carved scroll feet to the front with deep moulded edge, the rear fitted with turned bun feet . The shelves and interior have all benefited from well-executed 'faux rosewood' grained paint-work decoration .
Good capacity for both volumes of books and objects.
A practical and decorative piece of period furniture.
Excellent original condition throughout , no cracks ,damage or repairs. A well-chosen tightly-grained grade of rosewood which has achieved a good deep patina .
Original polish and finish , cleaned and waxed ready to use.
