Early C20th Royal Naval officer's bicorn hat, epaulettes and sword-belt in a fitted service tin. Naval officer's black 'beaver' cocked hat lined with white twilled silk .The upper edge of the hat is trimmed with black silk ribbon cockade ,decorated with single bullion loop ,button and tassels. The leather-lined epaulettes with gilt-metal fittings ,button and 'fouled anchor' wire decoration, trimmed with frogging. Together with patent leather sword belting with gilded buckle and clasp. All stamped and marked from service outfitters 'Gieves Ltd.' The velvet-lined 'jappaned' metal tin bearing makers armorial shield plaque 'Gieves' and inscribed "R.D.East R.N ". Together with a framed black-and-white photograph presumed to be the owner. All in excellent condition, some minor splits to belt leather. A highly decorative and historic set of Naval dress accessories. England c.1910
