Pair late C19th/early C20th George I period style walnut framed armchairs. Well-executed copies of important early C18th walnut armchairs, upholstered in beautiful period-style richly-coloured floral design needlework/tapestry (some minor wear to seat).'Shepherds-crook' arms ,shaped cabriole legs with c-scrolls ,shell-carved knees terminating in scroll carved feet. The top centre back carved with scallop-shell decoration. Shaped serpentine front-rail and stylish shaped backs. Rich colour timber and overall good condition. H(back)42" x (seat) 18" x W 23".
