Description

C18th George III period mahogany 2-tier table . Useful oblong free-standing occasional table of Chippendale influence. Chamfered square uprights and feet , with fret-carved 'scallop' edge friezes. Well-chosen figured mahogany panel top with applied mould edge, original finish with some marks commensurate with age and use. Good clean condition and rich colour timber (some re-placement blocks to underside) . A nice quality C18th table of sophisticated and restrained design that would make a very practical lamp or drinks table .Cleaned and waxed. Top 17" x 25" . H 29". England c .1770
