Pair of early C20th Royal Worcester Porcelain oval plaques both signed R. Rushton .
Puce Royal Worcester factory stamp with date code 1919 to reverse . Now in modern replacement gilt-wood frames with ebonised interior mounts. Fitted with non-reflective protective glass , which could easily be removed .
Beautifully painted seascape coastal scenes with shipping and foreshore .
Raymond Rushton was a celebrated ceramic artist working at The Royal Worcester Porcelain Works during the first quarter of the C20th . His painting is recognised as being of the highest quality and he decorated a wide range of vases , plaques and cabinet plates with a variety of subject matter featuring typical English landscape scenes and subjects .
Each plaque titled on reverse "Off the Mumbles " and "Bamburgh Castle ".
Perfect original condition with no damage, breaks or repairs.
*Ex. Local Private collection. Not previously on open market for over 50 years .
