Late C18th Italian Florentine design carved giltwood framed mirror of larger scale and proportions.
The well-carved gilded wooden frame with extensive scrolling leaf detail , retaining it�s original burnished gilding and enclosing the original silvered mirror plate . The design of the carving being typical of the Florentine style with deeply carved symmetrical detail to the rectangular frame .
A highly decorative carved frame mirror in exceptional excellent original condition, with a pleasing and atmospheric mellow surface to the gilding.
The verso having its original oak backboards and bearing an interesting old paper label referring to the mirror as a bequest.
