Large late C19th Japanese porcelain charger decorated in the Imari palette.
Lobed edge circular charger decorated in the traditional Imari colour palette of iron-reds, colbalt and pale blues, with gilded highlights on a white body . The centre with a circular reserve painted with a floral or bonsai style arrangement in a traditional vessel.
The fan-style vignette panels of complex decoration painted with further floral and traditional motif decoration. The verso decorated to the edges with stylised mythical birds or phoenixes around a raised foot-rim painted with double blue rings .
In excellent original condition with no damage or repair.
