C19th carved Indian or Burmese ‘backwood’ framed overmantel mirror.
Intricately carved and pierced floral and leaf detail frame with an elaborate raised cresting rail with carved opposing lions details . The carved shaped extended side spandrels with corresponding carved lion detail surrounding the rectangular clear silvered mirror plate with a bevelled edge.
In excellent original condition with no damage, losses or repairs.
A highly decorative skilfully carved frame mirror to add an exotic accent to an interior scheme.
