Exceptionally fine quality pair of late C19th / early C20th Edwardian period etched and engraved rectangular glass mirrors.
Highly decorative pair of mirrors with deeply etched and engraved glass plates , in later moulded and ebonised wooden frames. The centres having neoclassical-style oval sun-flower paterae with floral surrounds, with a vase of flowers to each end , and the borders with a running scrolling design.
The thick and heavy glass mirror plates in excellent clear condition with no damage or degradation. Having boarded backs .
By repute the mirrors were conceived as fittings for a cruise-liner but not used in the final scheme and subsequently have been employed in a domestic setting.
