Early C19th late Georgian period mahogany pedestal cupboard sculpture stand .
Of restrained architectural design , fitted a panelled door with ‘concealed’ button opening with a steel spring closure, revealing a single shelved interior .
Raised on a plinth base , the moulded edge top fitted with an apparently original loose faux black marble decorated wooden slab top .
The door with a well-selected flame mahogany panel, the whole with a rich original colour and patina. Of free-standing rectangular design.
An unusual pedestal of practical scale and proportions, ideal for displaying a bronze or marble sculpture.
