C19th oval teak and brass-mounted 2-tier military campaign table .
The tiers divided by brass columnar uprights with turned finials and turned feet. The top tier with a brass three-quarter gallery surround.
Has probably been adapted from a 3-tier washstand by simply removing one tier to create a practical stylish and evocative reception-room height table or etagere.
As its original purpose was to be transportable , the table easily dismantles for ease of movement.
In excellent condition with a rich colour and patina to the teak , the heavy gauge brass with a highly polished finish.
