C19th French carved siena marble rococo design inkstand.
Flamboyantly carved siena marble inkstand , carved from a single piece of stone raised on carved scroll feet . The centre with spaces for ink bottles , the front with a pen tray . Carved with shell motifs to corners and centre.
Well-figured marble, with a polished surface.
Minor historic chips .
Decorative and practical addition to a desk or writing table.
