Mid C19th Anglo-Indian brass-bound teak travelling writing or scribe’s box .
Well-fitted teak casket with brass re-enforced corners and strapping, having a decorative brass escutcheon plate and original steel key.
The hinged lid opening to reveal multiple lidded compartments and sections with decorative brass line inlay . The interior of the lid fitted with correspondence / stationary racks .
In excellent original condition with a rich colour and patina to the well-figured teak .
