Late C19th French ormolu bronze desk-tidy tray or �vide-poche� .
Cast ormolu bronze rectangular shallow tray signed by Thiebaut et Freres, Fumiere Foundry , Paris . The well-detailed interior cast in bas-relief depicting a Bacchanalian scene with cavorting amorini or cherubs engaged in the grape harvest and wine-making.
The garlanded head of Bacchus is top right-hand-side corner, together with the foundry stamp . Having a moulded lip edge , raised on ball feet.
Has a bright gilded finish and surface.
In excellent original condition.
