Early C20th Edwardian period gilded brass and Egyptian onyx adjustable height standard .
Flamboyant gilded brass telescopic height-adjustable standard lamp . Raised on an elaborately cast triform base with leaf-wrapped rococo detail . Having a circular figured Egyptian onyx central shelf with a cast edge surround , the stem of wrythen design with an adjustable height telescopic action .
The top surmounted with an engraved and chased lamp-holder body modelled as an oil reservoir vessel alluding to an earlier type of lamp .
In good original condition, the onyx stone shelf with some natural fissures and striations . In need of re-wiring.
