C19th French mahogany pier mirror of classical architectural design.
Stylish mahogany-framed pier mirror with gilt brass classically-inspired mounts . The two-part silvered mirror plate set below a triangular architectural pediment with acroteria , the upper frieze with a cast gilt-brass mount depicting Apollo , the sun-god , in his horse-drawn chariot .
Further gilded floriate and rosette brass mounts to the sides of the mahogany frame.
In excellent original condition, the mahogany having a rich colour and patina.
