Highly decorative early C20th Chinoiserie style black lacquer and gilt carved ‘faux bamboo’ framed wall mirror .
Of late C18th /early C19th design with a shaped stepped ‘pagoda’ top and carved gilt-wood finials above the rectangular frame . The gently ‘cushioned’ surround with ‘cross-hatched’ gilt decoration , the raised lacquer decoration of traditional Chinoiserie design with figures in a landscape .
Original atmospheric degraded or ‘foxed‘ silvered mirror-plate .
In excellent original condition and being of good large scale and proportions .
