Black and gold C18th design Chinese coffee or magazine table ,featuring colourful courtesan-style figures with a Tori (or Chinese gate)in a landscape, the inset panel top with carved soapstone and bone decoration. Raised on square-section shaped legs with gilded decoration to frame , the top with inset glass panel (replaced and in safety glass).Great decorative table to complement a period room setting , whilst a highly useful ,functional and stylish piece of furniture . Some minor chips to lacquer and wear commensurate with age and use, but overall a great decorative statement. The panel top in perfect condition with no losses. L 46" x D 18 " x H 18 ". Incorporating a C19th Chinese lacquer panel mounted upon a gilded brass simulated/'faux' bamboo base with splayed bottom legs and cross stretcher.

The top with wear and some 'crackulature' / crazing to lacquered surface commensurate with age and use.

Early C20th Italian brass-framed inset marble top coffee table. Heavy-guage square-section brass-framed base with applied paterae/roundel decoration to ends and a lower tier spindle/rod magazine shelf. The marble top of a 'Siena/Giallo Antico' centre with a deep banded edge of green 'Verde Antico' surround. The well-figured marble slab top with striations and lines possibly showing minor historic repairs. The veneered top laid upon an underside of travertine stone. The brass of the base has an aged patina which could be brightly polished if required.
Good quality decorative ,low reception room table that would complement a period setting.

Early C20th leather-on-oak brass bound shotgun cartridge magazine/carrying case. High-quality shotgun magazine case constructed from oak covered with stitched heavy-duty saddle leather and fitted with brass corner protectors , designed for x200 12-bore cartridge capacity. Fitted divisions to the interior with buckling internal adjustable leather straps. Screwed brass corners, brass lock and locking hasp ,with stitched and padded leather carrying-handle in excellent serviceable condition. The case further fitted with a lateral external security strap with tooled detail and brass buckle .
(No key to lock but fully functioning hasp/closure)
Embossed initials to lid "G.W.Y".

A great accessory for the shooting gentleman or lady ,with good dark ,rich, aged patina to both the leather and brass fittings. Marks and scars to leather commensurate with age, use and purpose.
The canvas-lined interior of the lid stamped with the retailers/manufacturers mark of "Finnigans Ltd, Manchester".

Perfect practical size for carrying spare ammunition for a days sport. Probably originally designed to be carried onto the train for the journey to the grouse moor , but today would fit well into the boot of the Range Rover or Bentley.

Early C20th Royal Naval officer's bicorn hat, epaulettes and sword-belt in a fitted service tin. Naval officer's black 'beaver' cocked hat lined with white twilled silk .The upper edge of the hat is trimmed with black silk ribbon cockade ,decorated with single bullion loop ,button and tassels. The leather-lined epaulettes with gilt-metal fittings ,button and 'fouled anchor' wire decoration, trimmed with frogging. Together with patent leather sword belting with gilded buckle and clasp. All stamped and marked from service outfitters 'Gieves Ltd.' The velvet-lined 'jappaned' metal tin bearing makers armorial shield plaque 'Gieves' and inscribed "R.D.East R.N ". Together with a framed black-and-white photograph presumed to be the owner. All in excellent condition, some minor splits to belt leather. A highly decorative and historic set of Naval dress accessories. England c.1910

Early C20th walnut demi-lune side table in the early Georgian period style. Faithful copy of an early C18th walnut side table constructed in the traditional period manner. Raised on shaped cabriole legs with leaf and hare-bell carving to the knee, and fitted with an oak-lined frieze drawer ,complete with pierced back-plate brass handle. Having been polished and finished to imitate the patina and wear of a period table. The cross-banded top with cross-grain moulded edge which had been made with shrinkage to simulate age.
The frieze inlaid with panels of double herringbone banding , again a feature consistent with a walnut table from the first quarter of the C18th. The half-round top with burr veneers in 'book-matched' opposing sections.
The top with some old marks and wear consistent with age and use .

Good piece of period style decoration of useful ,practical scale.

Excellent colour and patination, cleaned and waxed.

Fascinating C19th Victorian period folk-art 'scratch-built' whimsical diorama of the Jacobean manor "Aston Hall",Birmingham.

Three-quarter aspect view diorama of the facade and front terrace of "Aston Hall" , Birmingham ,England . Built using wood , paper and various coloured foils and seaweed elements , to form the impressive winged facade and front planted terrace of the Grade1-listed Jacobean red-brick manor constucted in 1618 for Sir Thomas Holte . Now open as a Museum.

Featuring the balustraded and turreted manor with its distinctive central clock tower. The foliage composed of seaweed or lichens , the stained-glass windows with coloured foil backs . Contained in a scratch-built wooden frame/case lined with vivid cobalt blue paper. Each corner with a 'tree' behind . The terrace with a central garden urn detail , flanked by a pair of 'planted' vases.

In good original condition with minor losses and natural aging throughout.

Superb quality Georgian bookcase with bar-glazed upper doors retaining their original hand-blown glass panels . The glass having wonderful movement and an almost convex profile . The divided centre top with 6 original adjustable shelves with 'ladder-racking' sides . (Supplied also with 4 additional C19th matching shelves to increase capacity if required).

The base section with a simple 'thumb-moulded' edge and fitted with twin panelled doors of book-matched flame mahogany with a rare and unusual figured satinwood cross-banding , which presents the illusion of fielded panels . The doors enclosing two banks of 6 graduated drawers each fitted with their original cast-brass 'swan-neck' handle.

Both pairs of doors fitted with their original reeded and patinated brass central 'slamming' strips ,double brass bolts and brass key escutcheons. Original locks and steel loop-handle key . The moulded cornice of simple uncomplicated design.

Raised upon original low , wide bracket feet supports . Original panelled back .

A well proportioned, low-waisted cabinet of restrained C18th design , a rare survivor presented in it's original untouched state .

Original surface with a rich ,deep colour and patination.
