Late C19th/early C20th Austro-Hungarian brass-framed agate casket.

Chic and bijou figured-agate panelled miniature trinket casket with finely-chased brass frame standing upon ball feet . Double-panelled front and rear sections , the top and base panel with bevelled edge detail . The front leading edge of the brass frame with shaped 'finger-plate'/grip for ease of opening .

Strikingly figured red/orange hardstone with nicely aged/patinated brass frame-work .

In excellent original condition with no damage , cracks or repairs .

Early C20th leather-on-oak brass bound shotgun cartridge magazine/carrying case. High-quality shotgun magazine case constructed from oak covered with stitched heavy-duty saddle leather and fitted with brass corner protectors , designed for x200 12-bore cartridge capacity. Fitted divisions to the interior with buckling internal adjustable leather straps. Screwed brass corners, brass lock and locking hasp ,with stitched and padded leather carrying-handle in excellent serviceable condition. The case further fitted with a lateral external security strap with tooled detail and brass buckle .
(No key to lock but fully functioning hasp/closure)
Embossed initials to lid "G.W.Y".

A great accessory for the shooting gentleman or lady ,with good dark ,rich, aged patina to both the leather and brass fittings. Marks and scars to leather commensurate with age, use and purpose.
The canvas-lined interior of the lid stamped with the retailers/manufacturers mark of "Finnigans Ltd, Manchester".

Perfect practical size for carrying spare ammunition for a days sport. Probably originally designed to be carried onto the train for the journey to the grouse moor , but today would fit well into the boot of the Range Rover or Bentley.

Early C20th leather-bound folding games board modelled as 2 volumes of books .

Smart 'faux' books folding games board , the exterior tooled as a chequers/chess grid , whilst the interior is marked for back-gammon . Embossed and tooled on spines with "English Games" and " Vols 1 & 2 " . The ends finished with 'marbled' paper.

In faded 'country-house' condition , with wear commensurate with age and use. Crucially the hinged section is in good strong working order.
Complete with 2 conical leather dice shakers , dice , draughts and backgammon pieces. Also contains game instructions of the period.

Useful games board with eclectic 'faux' book bindings .

Pair of early C20th "Black Forest" carved miniature bears. Charming pair of carved linden wood (lime) bears , one seated on its haunches ,the other rolled on its back, each supporting an original brass bowl . Well -carved and modelled with naturalistically painted mouths and teeth , fitted with glass-bead eyes (one missing). Minor chip to one foot. Probably conceived as ash-trays , and made and sold as tourist souvenirs from Switzerland .

All pieces fully stamped and marked to undersides of bases.
