Unusual C19th bronze Etruscan style ‘Grand Tour’ souvenir type ewer modelled as a bust study of a goddess or perhaps a Vestal Virgin.
Well-cast and detailed patinated bronze wine ewer or oenochoe . The female head wrapped in a head dress or scarf , with a beaded band or diadem across her forehead. The shaped top lip of the ewer of trefoil form. Raised on a circular socle base.
In excellent original condition with a dark patination and colour.
