Mid C19th Italian carved gilt-wood framed rectangular mirror of Florentine design .
The silvered mirror plate with a gently bevelled edge and in clear, clean condition.
The gilt-wood carved and pierced frame with the original gilded finish which has achieved a good �soft� patina and colour.
Of typical traditional Florentine design with leaf-carved cusped and shaped corners and carved detail frame with corresponding centralised leaf scroll motifs .
The mirror has a wire fitted to the reverse to allow it to be hung �portrait� wise but could easily be adapted to hang �landscape� as it is of symmetrical design.
Minor historic chips and nicks to edges of gilding. The minor gilt losses can be sympathetically restored and matched-in if desired.
