Early C19th patinated plaster classical-style bust study of a young boy .
Well-modelled plaster bust of a boy raised on an integral circular moulded socle base , the whole decorated with a simulated �faux bronze� patination . The subject depicted wearing a classical style draped robe in the ancient Romano-Greco fashion.
The face with a pleasing expression showing a subtle smile , giving the study a warm demeanour and highly decorative appeal.
Though the subject is unknown, it is probable the sitter is a young member of an aristocratic family depicted in the popular Roman classical-style of the period.
Minor chips and losses to the patinated surface commensurate with age .
