Description

Early C19th Regency period brass-framed mahogany 2-tier rectangular etagere .
Smart brass-framed etagere with quarter-veneered and cross-banded platforms. The tubular brass uprights with cast berry or pineapple finials, and raised on brass wheel castors.
The lateral brass framing with cast moulded detail and lacquered finish . The top mahogany tier with minor marks and blemishes commensurate with age, use and purpose. The mahogany with a rich colour and patina with contrasting cross-banded detail.
The lacquered brass with an aged patination and with some age discolouration .
As a further indication of the quality of execution, both of the undersides of the shelf platforms are also quarter-veneered in mahogany.
