Description

Early C19th George IV period rosewood occasional table with segmented rosewood and burr maple top.
Circular-topped rosewood base occasional or lamp table , raised on a facetted column support onto a concave-sided tri-form base . The column joining to the base with a turned ring . The tri-form base raised on compressed bun feet .
The alternating and contrasting burr-maple and rosewood segmented veneered top , with a veneered edge above a shallow inset rim frieze .
In original condition with rich colour and patina. One rosewood segment of the top with a minor historic triangular veneer repair towards the centre. Minor veneer losses to edge of rim and minor lifting / bubbles to veneered segments.
An attractive and decorative table of practical scale and proportions , combining functionality and style .
