Set of 4 late C19th Japanese Meiji period cloisonné enamel panels forming a continuous image .
High decorative set of cloisonné panels probably conceived as mounts for a piece of furniture or a table screen. Beautifully coloured enamels with a continuous image of trees , flowers , blossoms and foliage with birds, all set in a graduating blue sky background.
Traditional cloisonné techniques with the enamel having been applied to copper sheet bodies .
In good original condition with only minor cracks to one panel but no losses to the enamel.
